HSA Limits Increase for 2023

A chart depicts the HSA 2023 limit increase. HSA contribution limits for self-only are up $200, while families are up $250. HSA Catch-Up contributions for people 55+ have not changed. HDHP Minimum Deductible for self-only are up $100 and family are up $200. HDHP Maximum Out-of-Pocket Expense Limits for self-only are up $450 and up $900 for family.

Each year, the IRS announces inflation-adjusted limits for health savings accounts (HSAs) and high deductible health plans (HDHPs).

The following chart shows the HSA and HDHP limits for 2023 as compared to 2022. It also includes the catch-up contribution limit that applies to HSA-eligible individuals who are age 55 or older, which is not adjusted for inflation and stays the same fromyear to year.
